Forum: GratefulDead Subject: just stumbled across this one FYI

When the network traffic at my job gets heavy in the afternoon I often can't get anything from the archive to stream. So I hunted around for something different and found this. Pretty cool in that you can customize your own station -ie Dead, Jerry. Not THE most obscure of everything but damn better than regular radio. Might be old news to some but it wasn't to me.

Thanks!!! I was just taking a look at slacker and it doesn't look bad; I like the ability to save tunes and basically individualize a station for yourself. At first glance the selection looks better than I had expected, not just rock but jazz as well. Just listened to Jerry playing "It takes a lot to laugh; it takes a lot to cry" and now some Lowell. I might just use this since there are times I just want to hear a couple of tunes by an artist and I am not interested in any purchase or for that matter downloading a show. Anyway, I am looking forward to playing with this a little.

btw - this wasn't any sort of sales pitch I hope you understand ( it's free anyway ). Just an FYI because I've been digging it.
